In November 2010, USCIS transferred approximately 36,000 Immediate
Relative petitions from�our California Service Center to our Texas
Service Center. We anticipated that this redistribution�of work would
result in more timely adjudication of these petitions. Due to a number
of�unforeseen circumstances at our Texas Service Center, many of these
cases have not been�processed and are beyond our estimated processing
times. We sincerely regret any inconvenience�this may have caused you
and we are making every effort to remedy this situation as soon as
possible.
On Feb. 7, 2011, we implemented a rapid response plan to expedite the
adjudication of these�petitions. We have transferred a large number of
these Immediate Relative petitions back to our�California Service
Center to take advantage of resources currently available to
immediately�process these cases. Petitioners will see an action such
as an approval, denial or a Request for�Evidence (RFE) on their case
from our California or Texas Service Centers by the end of�February.
Additionally, we have briefed the Department of State’s National Visa
Center about�these cases.
We encourage you to monitor the progress of your case by accessing My
Case Status online. If�you do not see any action on your case, such as
an approval, denial or an RFE, by March 1, 2011�you may contact USCIS
at: I-130Inquiries.Tsc@dhs.gov
We remain committed to the prompt resolution of all pending cases and

Nope, 140 was approved in 2006. 485 applied July 19th, 2007. Looks like a mistake on USCIS part.
Did you filed 140 & 485 concurrently?? this is also one of the uscis check that you shouldn't filed be concurrently...

Hi all,
I got my first H1B after my MS in Nov 2002 to Oct 2005. I have renewed my H1B for the next 3 year period (Nov 2005 to Oct 2008) and I have the necessary forms from the USCIS. Now I need to get my passport restamped. I am considering Tijuana, Mexico as I have a friend in San Diego that I want to see. However, my I94 form in my passport says it expires in Nov 2005. Now my question is:
Can I go to Mexico for a restamp? What is the procedure/risk involved?

Hi guys,
I understand that after getting your 45day letter your case will be in the BEC database and will be processed in order.
Now I just saw people on this forum with PD Aug 2003 got approved 10/17.
and I know a friend with pd oct 2003 got approved in April.
Suppose that the guy got approved 10/17 was input to the system after the other luckier guy, the most conservative estimation is now pd Aug 2003 is being processed.
Anybody heard of any later PD being approved recently? from DBEC?
I'm just thinking, if we share the pd/approval information on this forum we'll have better estimates about our cases and have a somewhat less stressful life.

Not sure about the first question. SKIL bill will exempt any advanced degree from US or Advanced degree in STEM from outside + 3 Years. PACE, TALENT and the current CIR only exempt STEM Advanced degree + 3 Yrs
I am not totally sure. I recall reading one amendment where they mentioned 203(b) in conjunction with this - which means EB2 qualification.
