I filed another 485 which was family based and is current now.... I had to withdraw my employment based 485 because one cannot have 2 485s at the same time.

I am actually amazingly surprised by the phone customer service that USCIS is offering now (I remember having to dial INS phone customer numbers only to get constant engaged tones). Talking to a customer service rep will give you up to date status of your case (online status is not most updated).

Comp A sponsored you in good faith that you will join them after getting the GC. So, you will need to be willing to join CompA now. But if CompA is not able to hire you, you need to get documentary evidence that Comp A is unable to hire you at the moment due to the circumstances which need to be specified in the letter. And then, you can go about your employment with Comp C.

If you read the post , they say 21 year old means fresh graduate (bach.), it is very high for that age with no or less experience. here in california also freshers get 50-60k start..
That depends on company, job-title. Ofcourse, this is still high for a fresher, but you can't compare 50-60K to facebook job. This kid must be extremely smart. 50-60K would be for some lucky fresher coming out of an avg university in US. Even folks for decent US univ's get close to 100K in Cali. (Depends on company and pos).

By "Training" did you mean "Filing"?

Resident and Non-resident make a difference in taxation.
Non Permanent Resident Alien - If you are on H-1, they call you non-permanent resident alien. �Non-Permanent� because you are on a temporary visa, resident because IRS treats you just like any other US citizen living in that state.
Non-Permanent Non-Resident alien - Foreign students fall in this category (but it is not limited to them). �Non Permanent� comes from F-1 visa which is a temporary visa and Non Resident because you do not have intentions to live in the US permanently (or at least that is the farce that US embassy wants to listen). If you are on F-1 visa during, that time period you are not supposed to pay social security (6.5%) and Medicare taxes. Thanks to Non-Resident status. This is also applicable during 1 year OPT work permit that comes after F1.

I am pleasantly surprised and would like to thank Sen Menendez on behalf of all the IV members in his constituency for sponsoring visa recapture bill in Senate. Few days back when we called his office, his position was different. But because of we all calling and requesting for his support, he graciouly has agreed to take up our case. Speaking with his staff, I came to know that more than thousand calls were made to his office in support of the visa recapture bill.
This is just my thinking...
Sen Menendez vigorously supports family based immigration...I watched the failed comprehensive immigration debate on senate floor almost in its entirety. There, he was like a lone warrior arguing against the senators (Like Sessions) who said CIR bill encourages chain migration, etc...He was totally supporting visas that enable family reunions.
hr 5882 supports recapture of lost family based visas along with those of employment based. So no surprise Sen Menendez introduced the senate version of the house bill...And that's good for us...and we will take it...

I had applied for H1 for 2008 from two different employers.Both got approved.
you are one lucky dude. when you get to the US go to las vegas and try you luck there :)
Now my concern is ,
1)would there be any problem during the Visa stamping?
no. there is no law against 2 h1s. Any problems you might face would be related more to your qualifications, the company that is sponsoring you etc.
2)What should i do to other visa ,which i will be not using?
ignore it, it does not matter
3)How should i approach the employer whose employment i will be not accepting?
wait for your visa stamping to come through with one employer, then inform the other one that you wont be able to accept his job offer
4)I have signed one offer letter from the employer but other employer had not provided me with the offer leter.so whom should i join?
signing the offer letter is also not too late to switch employers (though its bad form). See which company is better based on other things:
- is one a regular company with a job already for you and the other a consultant who still has to place you
- where are the offices? Is one in the big hubs like silicon valley, new jersey/new york, austin, dallas, phoenix etc? Is it in a place where the standard of living might be hard based on your salary (1bed apartments rent range anywhere from 200 bucks to 1200 bucks depending on whether you are in arkansas or bay area). Is one in a place where the weather might be too harsh for you.
- what is the profile of the two employers (which one is more reachable, friendly)? If both are consultants, which one is bigger, with a better client list.
- salary, benefits of each of them.
all in all, even if you pick teh 'wrong' employer, you can always come here and then change...

I am planning to travel on AP first time. Can you pls reply:-
1. What all documents are required apart from AP to re-enter US?
2. Do you get I-94 if you enter with AP and if yes How long that I-94 is valid for? I am bit confused as my AP is going to expire in Jan 2008, so the USCIS should not give me i-94 till Jan only? If yes, then what after that?
If you can, pls reply..

Passport and AP is all they asked me for both times I traveled. The first time I had both originals of my AP. However- I also had my 485 receipt, EAD, my H1B extension I-797, employment letter, paystubs- you name it in case. No one asked me a thing- but I was being cautious.
If you use AP- the I-94 expires 1 year from the date you enter. However- this is only the date they put on the I-94. It does not mean you are illegal after that. As long as you are an AOS applicant, your status is valid.
I am sure there is a Murthy article on this.
